You must stop using the Swaddle UP when your baby shows signs of trying to roll. At this stage they can be transitioned to a transition suit, sleeping bag or sleep suit.

Close zipper before washing
Warm gentle machine wash in wash bag with similar colours
Tumble dry on low
Any garment with a tog rating of 2.5 or higher tumble dry inside out on second cycle for quicker drying
Warm iron if necessary
Do not soak or bleach garment, iron zip or dry clean

TOG Rating:

The TOG or Thermal Overall Grade rating on a garment is the unit of measurement used to calculate the thermal insulation of a product. This means garments are rated according to the warmth they provide so the higher the TOG rating the warmer the clothing.

TOG and Dress Guidelines:

0.2 TOG – ideal for room temperatures between 24C and 27C
1.0 TOG – ideal for room temperatures between 20C and 24C
2.5 TOG – ideal for room temperatures between 16C and 20C
3.5 TOG – ideal for room temperatures below 16C

This is only a guide and the number of clothing layers should be decided by the parents based on the room temperature and baby’s health or needs. Sleeping babies must be checked on regularly to ensure they don’t overheat.
