Donate to CRUS11TOUR in honor of Andrew’s late friend, teammate and roommate Davey Hovey, who was diagnosed with Stage IV Glioblastoma in 2015. The disease took him far too early, at the age of 26. During that time, he dedicated himself to fundraising for cancer research and coined this effort the CRUS11TOUR.Andrew was lucky enough to meet Big Wave Dave when he was 7 years old, and had the privilege of playing hockey, soccer and lacrosse together from youth through high school. After high school, Davey went on to graduate from St. Lawrence University, where he captained the lacrosse team his senior year. After college, Andrew and Davey roomed together for 3 years in Boston before Davey was diagnosed just after his 25th birthday. He fought hard for 16 months through 5 brain surgeries and multiple rounds of radiation.In the summer of 2016, Davey played a 100 hole golf round and raised $133,000. From there he organized a Boston Marathon team that raised over $400,000 and crossed the finish line just two months after he passed. The CRUS11TOUR legacy lives on through a PMC team that has grown from three riders in 2017 to over 100 riders in 2024. These funds will specifically be going to neuro-oncology research performed by Daveys doctor Dr. David Reardon at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. #crus11tour #keepthefaith #thisonesfordavey
